News: ‘Love Flash Mob’ by Momastery.com helps homeless Indianapolis teen mom get home at Project Home Indy
In March 2013, rtv6 theindychannel.com featured Project Home Indy and the generosity of thousands of followers of Glennon Doyle Melton and Momastery.com, who raised $83,000 in six hours--enough money to support a young family in PHI's residential program for one year. Because of this Love Flash Mob, a young mother and her four-month-old baby were able to live at Project Home Indy, have beds to sleep in, food to eat, and diapers to use.
Be prepared to choke back some tears as you read Project Home Indy's request to momastery.com followers--the Monkees--to help a young woman and her four-month-old son. This blog post shares the sad stories that our young moms face and how life-changing PHI's program can be. It includes Glennon Doyle Melton's simple call to action that inspired over 3,000 Monkees to donate the money needed to change the life of one young family.
