Project Home Indy is committed to providing a holistic and culturally sensitive approach to providing services and programs to young families in need. Unlike the more common maternity home model, PHI provides a long-term residential environment where program opportunities are structured based on a custom, person-centered case management framework.
Like all the young women who call Project Home Indy “home,” Maya’s journey to PHI started long before she became a mother. Her path began when she was just a baby and removed from her family as her mother began a 20-year prison sentence. Maya suffered significant trauma as a young child, which likely had a huge impact on Maya’s teen years. Learn more about Maya, and how she worked to make lasting change for her family.
Everyday donors and volunteers provide the foundation for our organization. Without you, PHI would not be able to provide support to young families in need. Learn how you can put forth your talents to make a difference today.
The Project Home provides a stable, healthy and supportive environment for teen mothers to excel on their path to independence. Residents also receive an array of health services and educational programs.
