Prior to coming to The Children's Museum of Indianapolis as the Director of School Programs and Early Childhood Education, Cathy taught kindergarten for fifteen years and was a principal for four years in Lawrence Township. She has been at the museum for seven years where she oversees all of the school programs, teacher professional development, exhibits for young children, and The Children's Museum Preschool.

Cathy has a Bachelor of Science degree from DePauw University and two Master's degrees in Early Childhood Education and Educational Administration. She holds a current teacher's license and principal's license and serves as an advisor at Butler University for Early Childhood Preparation for School Principals. Over the years, Cathy has written articles published in various early childhood publications.
